Grow School: Dried Flowers (Tuesday option)
Learn how to grow an abundance of flowers and seedpods suitable for drying. Includes specific varieties to choose, tips and techniques for successful growing and harvesting, and how to dry your flowers. .
Practical instruction will take place at Nourish Gardens Flower Farm. At the end of the workshop you will have a ‘take home’ pack of a range of seeds, seedlings and plants to help establish your own productive home dried flower garden.
*Please note this is not a workshop for flower farmers (current or aspiring!). For flower farming tuition please see our ‘Introduction to Flower Farming’ course.
-Planning a cutting garden for dried flowers and seedpods
-Specific growing information for a variety of flowers
-Harvesting timing and drying methods
Tutoring, resource materials, your own plants & seeds to take home, and a delicious morning tea.
-Clothes & closed shoes suitable for the weather conditions, and that you don’t mind getting a bit of soil on. If it’s wet we may well be heading outside regardless!
-Gardening gloves (if you have your own – we will lend otherwise).
