Food Forest Garden

A forest garden is an exciting and satisfying way of growing a variety of edible and medicinal plants. Designed to be self-sustaining, forest gardens can be as big or small as you wish. Even a small backyard can have a forest garden.

The information from the workshop was concise and  easily understandable,  allowing workshop participants time for questions and discussions and an opportunity to share their own experience. I found doing the practical part an especially valuable skill to add to my own pruning repertoire. Christy, your garden and knowledge are an inspiration.

If you have some experience growing vegetables but would like to improve your results, then this workshop is for you. We’ll be building a ‘hot bed’ in this workshop as a method for growing early seedlings or heat loving crops likes melons, and have a focus on planning for succession sowings, with the aim of evening out your gluts and famines.
