Design Your Own Food Forest Garden (Tuesday option)
A forest garden is an exciting and satisfying way of growing a variety of edible and medicinal plants. Designed to be self-sustaining, forest gardens can be as big or small as you wish. Even a small backyard can have a forest garden.
This workshop aims to provide you with inspiration and knowledge to plan your own unique forest garden. Gain some practical experience maintaining an established food forest and take home your own propagated plants.

-Providing home-grown resources – mulch & fertility
-Choosing plants
-Preparation, planting & maintenance
INCLUDES
Tutoring, your own propagated plants to take home, and a delicious morning tea.
TO BRING
-Clothes & closed shoes suitable for the weather conditions, and that you don’t mind getting a bit of soil on. If it’s wet we may well be heading outside regardless!
-Gardening gloves (if you have your own – we will lend otherwise).

Christy is a teacher and gardener and loves to combine these two passions. Christy has a substantial edible food garden as part of Nourish Gardens located in the beautiful Owhanake Bay on Waiheke Island.
