Practical instruction will take place on our own small flower farm. At the end of the workshop you will have a ‘take home’ pack of a range of specialty cut flower seeds, seedlings, bulbs and corms to help establish your own productive spring cut flower garden. You will have access to some amazing varieties of spring flowers which are not usually available to home gardeners.
TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:
- Planning a spring cutting garden
- Specific growing information for a variety of cut flowers, including spring bulbs and hardy annuals. Bring on the ranunculus, anemone, sweet peas, and more!
- Cut flower propagation – growing from seeds, cuttings, bulbs, corms and other methods
- Harvesting and post-harvest tips to keep flowers fresher for longer

Christy is a teacher and gardener and loves to combine these two passions. Christy runs a sustainable small scale cut flower farm as part of Nourish Gardens located in the beautiful Owhanake Bay on Waiheke Island.
$165 per person. This includes course resource materials, a ‘take home’ pack of a range of flower seeds, seedlings and specialty cut flower bulbs and corms to get you growing, as well as a delicious morning tea and lunch.
